Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a narrowed carotid artery in your neck (confirmed by imaging) that is at least 50% narrowed if you've had symptoms like a mini-stroke, or 80% narrowed if you haven't had symptoms.
- You are considered high risk for the standard surgery (carotid endarterectomy) due to other health problems (e.g., heart failure, severe lung disease) or anatomical issues (e.g., history of neck surgery, previous carotid surgery).
- The narrowed section of the artery is between 3.0 mm and 9.0 mm in diameter.
- You are willing to participate and sign a consent form.
