Who can take part

  • You are at least 20 years old and have had one stroke.
  • Your leg on the affected side is in Brunnstrom stage III or IV (some movement but not full control).
  • You can walk on flat ground without using a cane, walker, or other aid.
  • You can understand instructions and follow simple commands.
  • You do not have a serious spinal cord injury or nerve damage in your limbs.
  • You have not broken a leg bone in the past 6 months.
