- You are 75 years or older.
- You have had lower back or leg symptoms for more than 6 months due to degenerative spine disease.
- You are scheduled for elective lumbar fusion surgery (one or more levels, open or minimally invasive).
- You do not have severe memory or thinking problems (score above 9 on a standard test).
- You are able to start the prehabilitation program about 6 weeks before surgery.
- You are not currently in another trial for prehabilitation or spine surgery.
