Testing HT-4253 to prevent Alzheimer's in APOE4 carriers

This trial tests an experimental drug called HT-4253 to see if it can prevent Alzheimer's disease in people who are at higher genetic risk (carry the APOE4 gene) and have early signs of amyloid buildup in the brain. If you qualify, you would take the drug or a placebo and be monitored over time.

Who can take part

  • Your age is between 50 and 75
  • You carry at least one copy of the APOE4 gene (a genetic risk factor for Alzheimer's)
  • You have a positive blood test showing amyloid buildup in your brain
  • You are in good general health with no major medical conditions, and have not had a stroke or seizure in recent years
  • You are not currently taking medications for certain psychiatric conditions or other Alzheimer's treatments
