Who can take part

  • You had a stroke caused by a large blood clot in a major artery.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Treatment can start within 24 hours of when your stroke symptoms began.
  • Your stroke symptoms are at least moderately severe (NIHSS score 6 or higher).
  • You were able to walk and care for yourself before the stroke (mRS score 0-2).
  • You do not have a pacemaker, an active infection, recent surgery, or a weak immune system.
