Who can take part

  • You have end-stage kidney disease and are on hemodialysis (kidney dialysis).
  • You were recently in the hospital for a sudden medical problem.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You do not have dementia or severe memory problems (scoring less than 20 on a memory test).
  • You do not have serious heart or blood vessel problems (like recent heart attack, stroke, or uncontrolled high blood pressure above 200/110 mmHg).
  • You are able to cooperate with the program and do an exercise stress test.
