Who can take part
- You are 75 years old or older.
- You have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) that is not caused by a heart valve problem; it may come and go or be constant.
- Your stroke risk score (CHA2DS2-VASc) is 3 or higher.
- You can tolerate blood thinners as prescribed by your doctor.
- You are willing and able to have the procedures and follow-up visits.
- You are not severely frail (based on a frailty scale) and have a life expectancy of more than 2 years.
