This trial tests if the immunotherapy drug cemiplimab, given before and after surgery, can help treat early-stage non-small cell lung cancer that has high levels of a protein called PD-L1. If you have stage II or IIIA lung cancer that can be surgically removed and your tumor has PD-L1 expression of 50% or more, you may be eligible.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have stage II or IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that can be removed with surgery
  • Your cancer must have high PD-L1 levels (50% or more) and you have not had any prior treatment
  • You must be in good enough health to have surgery, with a performance status of 0 or 1 (fully active or able to do light work)
  • You must have adequate bone marrow, liver, and kidney function
  • You cannot have certain genetic mutations in your tumor (like EGFR, ALK, RET, or ROS1)
