Who can take part

  • You are 40 years old or older
  • You have diabetes-related nerve pain that is ongoing despite taking other pain medications
  • Your diabetes is well-managed (HbA1c of 8.5% or lower)
  • You are not allergic to gabapentin or similar drugs
  • You are not taking strong painkillers like opioids or other nerve pain medicines
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
