Who can take part
- You are 40 years old or older
- You have diabetes-related nerve pain that is ongoing despite taking other pain medications
- Your diabetes is well-managed (HbA1c of 8.5% or lower)
- You are not allergic to gabapentin or similar drugs
- You are not taking strong painkillers like opioids or other nerve pain medicines
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
