Light therapy vs. vitamin D cream for mouth white patches

Who can take part

  • You must have a white patch in your mouth (oral leukoplakia) that's at least as big as a nickel (2 cm²).
  • You must be over 18 years old.
  • You have not had any treatment for this condition in the last 2 months (except general care).
  • You have no current or past history of cancer, and your mouth patch does not show signs of severe cell changes on biopsy.
  • You do not have a condition that makes you very sensitive to light (like certain genetic or skin disorders).
  • You are not pregnant or nursing.
