New Pulmonary Valve Study for Kids Needing Replacement

Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 18 months and 16 years old.
  • Your child needs a replacement for their pulmonary valve (the valve that lets blood flow from the heart to the lungs).
  • The doctors have recommended a surgical pulmonary valve replacement.
  • An echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) shows severe narrowing, moderate-to-severe leaking, or both of the pulmonary valve.
  • Your child is healthy enough to undergo surgery and has no serious infections or blood disorders.
