Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have severe heart failure (Stage D, NYHA class III–IV) despite taking all recommended heart medications.
- You are scheduled to have coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery because of blocked heart arteries.
- Your heart's pumping ability (ejection fraction) is 40% or less, and you have areas of the heart that do not move normally.
- You do not have a pacemaker, ICD, or CRT device, and you have not had a stent placed in your heart arteries before.
- You do not have other serious conditions like active cancer, severe kidney disease, or an active infection.
