- You are 18 or older
- You were diagnosed with high blood pressure within the last 6 months
- You can attend clinic visits for blood tests, heart monitoring, and an ultrasound of your heart
- You are not taking folic acid, vitamin B12, or vitamin B6 supplements
- You do not have other heart problems, kidney disease, or anemia
