Who can take part
- You must be between 18 and 74 years old.
- You must have IgA nephropathy confirmed by a kidney biopsy (a test where a small piece of kidney is taken) within the past 8 years.
- Your kidney function (measured by eGFR) must be at least 30 ml/min/1.73m2.
- You must have significant protein in your urine (proteinuria) — specifically, at least 1 gram per day or a urine protein-to-creatinine ratio (UPCR) of 0.8 or higher.
- You should have been on a standard blood pressure medicine called an ACE inhibitor or ARB (RAS blocker) for at least 12 weeks, or you must be taking other recommended kidney medicines if you can't take RAS blockers.
- You must be willing to get vaccines for certain bacteria (meningitis and pneumonia) at least 2 weeks before starting the study drug.
