Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 89 years old
  • You have a muscle disease (myopathy) confirmed by a doctor's review of your medical records
  • You can lie flat without claustrophobia, and have no metal in your body that would prevent an MRI
  • You do not have severe leg swelling, severe obesity (BMI over 35), or skin ulcers that block electrode placement
  • You are not pregnant and have no other major leg muscle conditions
