Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- You have persistent atrial fibrillation (not just occasional episodes) and have tried at least one heart rhythm drug that didn't work well
- You are scheduled to have your first heart ablation procedure
- You do not have heart valve problems causing your atrial fibrillation
- Your heart's pumping function is at least 40% and your left atrium is not too large (less than 55mm)
