Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with primary hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) that can be surgically removed
  • Stage IB or IIA disease with high recurrence risk (specific tumor size/number requirements)
  • Age 18–75 with good overall health (ECOG score 0–1) and normal liver function (Child-Pugh Grade A)
  • No prior chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy treatments
  • No other active cancers (except treated skin cancer or cervical pre-cancer)
  • Able to use effective contraception if of childbearing age; willing to follow up with study team
