Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with asthma for at least 12 months
  • You take medium-to-high dose inhaled steroid plus another asthma controller medication, with a stable dose for at least 4 weeks
  • You have had at least one asthma attack in the past 12 months despite being on asthma medications
  • Your lung function tests show specific results (FEV1 between 40% and 80% of predicted, and reversibility after using a rescue inhaler)
  • You do not smoke currently and have never been a heavy smoker (less than 10 pack-years)
  • You are willing to use an electronic diary device with at least 80% compliance and complete required lung function tests
