Who can take part
- You are scheduled to have electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) as an elective procedure
- Your overall health status allows you to safely undergo anesthesia (ASA class I, II, or III)
- You do not have neuromuscular diseases like Myasthenia Gravis
- You are not allergic to common anesthesia medications (sugammadex, rocuronium, ketamine, dexmedetomidine, or propofol)
- You do not have vein problems, lymphedema, or active infection in your arms
- Your heart is stable enough to tolerate the procedure
