Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with acute, uncomplicated type B aortic dissection (a tear in the lower part of your main artery)
- You can enroll in the study within 24 hours of when your condition was first diagnosed
- You have never had an aortic dissection before
- You do not have a genetic condition affecting your aorta (such as Marfan syndrome or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome)
- Your aortic dissection was not caused by a medical procedure or catheter
