Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old.
- You have cancer that blocks the bile duct in the liver area, confirmed by imaging or biopsy.
- Your bilirubin level is above 3 mg/dL (a sign of jaundice).
- Your cancer cannot be removed with surgery, or you are not healthy enough for surgery.
- If your cancer might be removable, you must also have a small future liver remnant, severe jaundice, malnutrition, or be scheduled for chemotherapy before surgery.
- You have not had any prior procedure to drain the bile duct (like ERCP or PTBD).
