Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You had hip replacement surgery for hip arthritis (one hip only, first-time surgery)
  • Your surgeon cleared you to put full weight on your new hip as tolerated
  • You can walk and balance safely (low fall risk)
  • You don't have serious pain elsewhere (like knee or spine) that stops you from exercising
  • Your hip pain is controlled with medication (pain level below 4 on a scale of 0–10)
