Who can take part
- Your child is between 2 and 12 years old
- Your child is having scheduled day surgery (same-day surgery) under general anesthesia
- Your child is in good enough health for surgery (ASA status I–III, meaning no serious heart, lung, or other organ problems)
- Your child has no history of severe liver or kidney disease, brain disorders, or seizures
- Your child has not taken sedatives or pain medications in the 48 hours before surgery
- Your child has not experienced major stress (like family separation or death) in the past month
