Who can take part

  • You are 21 years old or older
  • You need a CT scan because doctors suspect you have a sudden blood clot in your lungs
  • You can raise both arms above your shoulders during the scan
  • You are mentally able to understand and consent to the study (MMSE score of 18 or higher)
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must test negative on a pregnancy test before the scan
