  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are in the ICU with sepsis diagnosed by specific organ failure criteria
  • You have had persistently low white blood cell counts (below 1,000) confirmed twice within 72 hours
  • You have already started appropriate antibiotics or other infection-fighting medications
  • You can provide written consent or have a legal representative who can
  • If able to have children, you agree to use effective birth control for up to 7 months after treatment
