Brain Stimulation Treatment for Fibromyalgia Pain

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment called tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) can help reduce fibromyalgia pain. You'll use a small device at home that sends mild electrical currents to your scalp, and researchers will monitor your progress via video calls.

Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with fibromyalgia based on widespread pain across your body lasting at least 3 months
  • Able to independently use a home tDCS device or have a caregiver help you use it
  • Own a smartphone or computer with a camera for study check-ins and device monitoring
  • Willing to keep taking any current pain or antidepressant medications at the same dose throughout the study
  • No metallic implants in your head, no pacemaker or cochlear implant, and no recent brain stimulation
  • No history of seizures or epilepsy, and no major brain conditions like stroke or structural brain abnormalities
