Study of PRX-115 for gout with or without methotrexate

This trial tests a new medicine, PRX-115, given through a vein, to see if it lowers uric acid levels in people with gout who haven't had success with standard treatments. Some participants will also take methotrexate, and the results are compared to a placebo (a dummy infusion).

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You weigh between 110 and 330 pounds (50-150 kg).
  • Your gout hasn't been controlled by typical uric acid-lowering pills, or you can't take those pills.
  • You are willing to stop taking any current gout medications during the study.
  • Women must be unable to get pregnant, past menopause, or using effective birth control.
