Who can take part
- You have gout (diagnosed by a doctor) and are not having a flare-up right now.
- Your uric acid level is above 7 mg/dL (420 µmol/L) at the screening visit.
- You have not taken any gout-lowering medication in the 14 days before the study starts.
- You have not had a gout attack in the last 14 days.
- You do not have a history of certain enzyme deficiencies (G6PD or catalase) or cancer.
- You have never received pegolase or similar enzyme treatments for gout.
