Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 lbs)
  • You have a genetic diagnosis or clear clinical diagnosis of homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (the severe inherited form, not the milder heterozygous form)
  • Your cholesterol (LDL-C) remains elevated even with stable cholesterol-lowering medications
  • You have been on the same cholesterol medications for a set period and can stay on them throughout the study
  • You are willing to use effective birth control if you can have children, and are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have not received certain other experimental cholesterol treatments (like mipomersen, bepatide, or gene editing) within specific timeframes
