Who can take part

  • You had a stroke on one side of your brain at least 6 months ago that caused weakness on one side of your body
  • You are between 20 and 70 years old
  • You have some voluntary (intentional) control of your fingers and thumb, though it may be weak
  • You do not have severe pain in your hand or arm when you try to move
  • You do not have active fractures, severe heart disease, or other serious medical conditions
  • You are able to understand and consent to participate in the study
