Who can take part

  • You have fatty liver disease confirmed by imaging (ultrasound or similar) plus signs of metabolic syndrome (overweight, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, or abnormal cholesterol)
  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You do not drink alcohol
  • You do not have hepatitis B or C, autoimmune liver disease, or liver/other cancers
  • You do not have serious muscle, lung, or kidney disorders
  • You are not pregnant and not taking anabolic steroids or medications that harm the liver
