Who can take part

  • Age between 25 and 60 years
  • BMI of 30 or higher (classified as obese)
  • Restrictive ventilatory pattern (FVC less than 80% of predicted value, meaning your lungs don't expand as much as expected)
  • Able to safely participate in physical assessments without uncontrolled heart, blood pressure, or diabetes complications
  • No recent lower-leg surgery or injury (within 6 months)
  • Not a current smoker and not enrolled in a weight-loss program during the study
