Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have moderate to severe gum disease with at least 2 teeth (not counting wisdom teeth) that have deep pockets of 5 to 8 mm and bleeding.
- You have not had gum surgery or deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) in the last 6 months.
- You have not taken antibiotics in the last 3 months.
- You are not a heavy smoker (no more than 10 cigarettes a day in the past year).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding and agree to use contraception if needed.
