Who can take part

  • You must be a Japanese citizen able to give written informed consent
  • You have been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a type of blood cancer (but not acute promyelocytic leukemia with a specific genetic change)
  • Your AML has relapsed (come back) or is refractory (stopped responding to earlier treatment)
  • Your cancer cells have a confirmed IDH1 gene mutation
  • You do not have an IDH2 gene mutation and have not been treated with IDH2 inhibitor drugs before
  • You have tolerated IDH1 inhibitor drugs in the past or have no known allergy to them
