Blood Changes and Heart Attack Severity Study

ST-elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI)Clonal Hematopoiesis of Indeterminate Potential (CHIP)

Who can take part

  • This is your first heart attack (never had one before)
  • Heart attack symptoms started less than 12 hours before you received emergency treatment
  • You received emergency heart catheterization (a tube placed in your heart artery to restore blood flow)
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You do not have a history of cancer, blood disorders, or chemotherapy
  • You can commit to follow-up visits and heart imaging scans over time
