Who can take part

  • You are between 60 and 75 years old and scheduled for knee replacement surgery
  • Your overall health is stable enough for surgery (ASA Class II or III)
  • Your weight is proportional to your height (BMI between 18–30)
  • You can communicate clearly and understand the study in your language
  • You don't have serious kidney, heart, or liver disease
  • You haven't been taking daily opioid painkillers in the last 3 months
