Amiloride Treatment for Vertebrobasilar Dolichoectasia

Vertebrobasilar Dolichoectasia

Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older
  • Confirmed diagnosis of VBD (a widened blood vessel in the brain) seen on imaging
  • No previous stroke from VBD and no prior VBD surgery
  • Able to walk and care for yourself with minimal help (mRS score below 4)
  • Specific blood marker (SGK1) present in your blood
  • Normal liver and kidney function, and normal blood cell and mineral levels
