- You are between 8 and 15 years old
- You have a confirmed genetic diagnosis of Friedreich's ataxia with specific GAA repeat mutations in the FXN gene
- Your Friedreich's ataxia symptoms are mild to moderate (specific disease severity score ≤ 65)
- You can understand and follow English instructions
- You do not have a pacemaker, metal implants, or metal dental braces (needed for the brain MRI scan)
- You are not currently pregnant and can participate in study visits
