Who can take part
- Age 18 or older
- Scheduled for your first elective (planned, non-emergency) coronary artery bypass surgery
- Surgery will use heart-lung bypass machine (CPB)
- You will be on a breathing machine during surgery with recordable data
- No severe chronic lung disease before surgery
- Not currently requiring a breathing machine before surgery
