Testing BHV-1400 for IgA Kidney Disease

This study tests whether a new drug called BHV-1400 can slow down or help IgA nephropathy, a condition where the immune system damages the kidneys. You'll be monitored to see if the drug is safe and effective for you.

Who can take part

  • Confirmed diagnosis of IgA nephropathy (IgAN) from a kidney biopsy done within the last 10 years
  • Significant protein in your urine (≥0.75 g/g measured over 24 hours or ≥1.0 g per day)
  • Kidney function with eGFR ≥30 mL/min/1.73m² (moderately reduced but not near kidney failure)
  • Already taking blood pressure medication (ACE inhibitor or ARB) at a stable dose for at least 90 days
  • No other kidney disease besides IgAN, and no signs of rapidly worsening kidney function
  • Not currently requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant
