This trial tests whether a special medication given directly into the brain's fluid spaces can prevent fluid buildup (hydrocephalus) after a severe brain bleed. If you've had a severe aneurysm bleed with bleeding into the brain's cavities and already have a drain tube in place, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You had a brain bleed from a burst aneurysm, and it's severe (Hunt Hess grade IV or V).
  • The bleed spread into the fluid spaces deep in your brain.
  • You already have a drain tube placed in your brain as part of your standard care.
  • You can join the study within about 24 hours of getting that drain tube.
