Who can take part

  • You have advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer and have already tried at least one prior treatment (like chemotherapy).
  • You have a moderate to large amount of fluid around one lung that causes symptoms like chest tightness or trouble breathing.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You are in reasonably good health for your age (able to do light activities and care for yourself).
  • You must be willing to have a chest tube placed to drain the fluid and receive study medications.
  • Your blood counts, liver, kidney, and clotting function must be within safe limits.
