Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You are scheduled for laparoscopic abdominal or gynecologic surgery expected to last at least 1 hour
  • You are in good general health (ASA I or II)
  • You have no history of nerve or muscle disease, mental health conditions, or severe heart or lung problems
  • You have not had a cold or respiratory infection in the last 2 weeks
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 40 or less
