Study of depemokimab for children (6-11) with asthma

This trial tests if a new medicine, depemokimab, can help children aged 6 to 11 whose asthma is not well controlled with their current inhalers and who have a type of inflammation called eosinophilic asthma. It may reduce asthma attacks and improve symptoms.

Who can take part

  • Your child must have a doctor's diagnosis of asthma for at least 1 year.
  • Your child's asthma should be linked to high levels of a certain white blood cell (eosinophil) in the blood, shown by a recent blood test.
  • Your child must weigh at least 33 pounds (15 kilograms).
  • Your child must be using a medium or high dose of an inhaled steroid (like Flovent) regularly for the past year.
  • Your child must have had at least 2 asthma attacks in the last year that needed steroid pills or shots, despite using their inhaler.
  • Your child cannot have taken certain asthma biologics (like Nucala, Xolair, or Dupixent) in the last 4 months.
