Who can take part
- You have non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer that is locally advanced, metastatic, or has come back after treatment and can't be cured with surgery or radiation.
- Your cancer has a specific EGFR gene change (either exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R substitution).
- You have at least one tumor outside your brain that can be measured with scans.
- You are physically active enough to be up and about (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- You do not have unstable or uncontrolled brain metastases or cancer in the fluid around your brain or spinal cord.
- You have not had a serious lung inflammation (interstitial lung disease or pneumonitis) that needed steroid treatment.
