Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have had a TIPS procedure with a covered stent and it worked well.
- You have had at least two episodes of confusion (West Haven grade 2 or higher) in the last 6 months while taking lactulose and rifaximin.
- You can safely have a tiny tube placed through your nose into your stomach to receive the bacteria (no major stomach or gut problems).
- You do not have active bleeding, weak immune system, liver cancer, or severe heart/kidney/lung problems.
