Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have moderate-to-severe aortic stenosis (a stiff heart valve) that does not cause symptoms yet.
  • You are eligible for Medicare (Australia's public health insurance).
  • You can safely have an MRI scan (no metal implants, pacemaker, or severe claustrophobia).
  • You do not have other serious health problems like severe kidney disease, heart failure, or a life expectancy under 2 years.
