Collagenase injection for muscle stiffness after brain or spinal injury

Who can take part

  • Your stroke, brain injury, or spinal cord injury happened at least 6 months ago
  • Your muscle stiffness is moderate or greater (measured by a standard scale)
  • You are not allergic to XIAFLEX or collagenase
  • You are not changing medications for muscle stiffness right now
  • You have not had Botox injections in the target area in the last 4 months, or phenol injections in the last 9 months
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder, are not taking blood thinners (except low-dose aspirin), and are not pregnant
