  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You have end-stage kidney disease and have been on dialysis for at least 3 months.
  • You are currently in the hospital and need urgent removal of excess fluid for the first time.
  • An ultrasound has shown signs of severe fluid buildup in your lungs or blood vessels.
  • Your blood pressure is stable, with a reading of at least 120/80 mmHg.
