Who can take part

  • You have coronary heart disease (a heart artery blockage seen on an angiogram).
  • You have diabetes (confirmed by blood sugar or A1C tests).
  • You have sleep apnea (at least 5 breathing pauses per hour during sleep).
  • You cannot have a permanent pacemaker.
  • You have not had a heart attack or stroke in the past 3 months.
  • You are not pregnant, and you do not have severe thyroid, liver, kidney, or brain disease.
